This month the drinks are Green & Blue!
For the third year in a row, The Long Island City Community Boathouse and Green Shores NYC are sponsoring the July Queens Green Drinks on the Western Queens Waterfront! This year, they are joined by a partner in ensuring access to and a healthy future for our waterways-the New York City Water Trail Association (NYCWTA)!
NYCWTA started the City's first Blue Drinks (modeled after Green Drinks) in May of this year and they are excited to bring Blue Drinks to Queens!

Enjoy breathtaking views and watch the sun go down behind the Manhattan skyline. Music, drinks and summer BBQ!

The mission of the all-volunteer Long Island City Community Boathouse is to provide the Western Queens residents, employees and visitors with educations and recreational paddling programs. Their programs raise awareness about estuary ecology with the goal of restoring the natural beauty and health of New York Harbor for today's and future generations. LICCB offers "weekday", "weekend" and "Sunday Walk Up" paddles in Hallets Cove. More info: www.licboathouse.org

Green Shores NYC works to ensure a greener, cleaner, more accessible East River Waterfront in Queens, NYC. GSNYC is an all-volunteer organization and we work to enliven the Astoria-Long Island City waterfront by caring and advocating for safe public parks, green spaces, waterways, street trees and a waterfront greenway. In order to advance awareness of the public ownership of our waterways, and to foster maritime education, recreation and environmental stewardship, The New York City Water Trail Association promotes the creation, improvement, and preservation of suitable launches, landings and boathouses for paddling and rowing in all five boroughs and the harbor at large.
